Record crowd at EV expo

More than 6,500 people flocked to Sunshine Beach Road on Sunday 21 June for the 8th Annual Noosa EV & Electrify Everything Expo, making it the largest event in the Expo’s history.
Hosted by Zero Emissions Noosa (ZEN), the free community event brought together 65 exhibitors showcasing the latest electric vehicles, e-bikes, e-scooters, home batteries, rooftop solar, EV chargers, Induction cooking, heat pumps and other energy-saving technologies. Visitors were also able to speak with ZEN’s Independent EV, Home and Business Energy Champions, compare products from multiple providers and hear directly from local EV owners about their personal experiences.
The annual event continues to attract people looking for practical ways to reduce household and transport energy costs while embracing cleaner technologies.
Visitor surveys highlighted the Expo’s impact, with 94 per cent of attendees rating the event four or five stars. Eighty-five per cent said the Expo helped them make decisions about electrifying their home or business, while 75 per cent said it influenced their HV or e-mobility choices. Significantly, almost two-thirds of visitors were attending the Expo for the first time, demonstrating growing community interest.
ZEN Program and Project Coordinator Rex Halverson sald the Expo’s success reflected a growing appetite for trusted, Independent in-
formation.
“The technologies and options have evolved significantly in recent years and many people have questions about what will work best for their home, business or lifestyle,” he said
“The Expo provides an opportunity to compare products, speak directly with experts and owners, and make informed decisions without pressure. Our focus has always heen on helping people understand the options available to them and how they can save money by electrifying their homes, businesses and transport.”

This year's Expo featured the largest display of electric vehicles ever assembled at the event, with over 30 EV's representing more than 20 automotive brands, alongside demonstrations of induction cooking, e-bike and e-scooter experiences, and carport solar displays.
The event was made possible through the support of over 50 ZEN volunteers, 100 exihibitor statf and the event supporters, Noosa Council and the Noosa Junction Association, whose combined efforts helped deliver another successful community event.
As households continue to look for ways to manage rising energy costs and also embrace cleaner technologies, the continued growth of the Noosa EV & Electrily Everything Expo suggests the community's Interest in electrification has never been stronger.
